Beryl ax OpenVPN not working

Hello,

I’m new to the whole VPN thing so if someone could help me with an issue I’m having that would be greatly appreciated.

I have an OpenVPN access server self hosted in my home that works perfectly fine when I connect my phone to it by itself. However, when I put in the config file into the beryl ax OpenVPN client, it refuses to connect and never switches from the orange light to green. I’ll attach a copy of the log for y’all to look at.

Do you have any trouble like this using WireGuard?

Seriously, look @ the advertised specs of your Beryl AX: WireGuard gives you twice the VPN performance.

Hello,

  1. Please upgrade to the latest firmware v4.8.1:
    GL.iNet download center

  2. Could you please PM me the OpenVPN client profile? I would like to check if any options did not support in router.

  3. Please SSH to router and try to comment out the /tmp/ovpnclient/ovpnclient1 line 16: "#static-challenge xxx"

I haven’t looked into it yet. I’ll give it a shot when I get some time.

The currently pre-installed OpenVPN does not support MFA.

Please disable MFA, OTP, etc. authentication.
